It’s actually quite a challenge to come up with freebie plug–in content for a few reasons. Luckily, the AU format is quite common and the number of free offerings is only surpassed by PC only VST’s. In this regard, there are many resources with list and after list of available freebies. Often when searching for an idea to feature, I find little that is new and leading edge that would be of interest to our Logic Pro Expert audience who are pretty savvy in finding the gems on their own.

While not for everyone, this is a groove library with the ability to get one’s sequences within Logic Pro X to emulate the micro-timing artifacts of 70’s and 80’s drum machines and sequencers. While we like to think that precision timing, especially in electronic music is a) universally achieved by all professional devices including our DAWs and b) what we want in electronic music. In practice, certain notable producers, both now and back in the heyday when these technologies premiered, actually prefer the slight timing variances with different particular sequencers, workstations and drum machines.
Nb. These files are not drum loops, they are used to make a groove template to use with either midi loops you create or have in your library.
